The port of Rostock offers three routes to other European countries: Gedser in Denmark, Trelleborg in Sweden and Hanko in Finland.

The routes are operated by three companies, Scandlines, TT-Line, and Superfast.


Rostock to Gedser


Scandlines offers nine daily sailings to Gedser with journeys taking approximately 2 hours. Gedser port offers very few facilities but does provide vending machines and a food area.

Rostock to Trelleborg


Scandlines has three daily crossings to Trelleborg, Sweden. The journey takes 5 hours, 45 minutes. TT-Line also connects Rostock to Trelleborg. Two daily sailings provide crossings in 6 hours.

Trelleborg port is one of the largest ferry ports in Scandinavia. Over two million passengers pass through the port every year on one of the 42 daily connections.

Rostock to Hanko


Superfast Ferries provides a daily sailing to Hanko in Finland. Ferries usually depart in the evening and arrive in Hanko the following evening. The total journey time is 22 hours. Minimum facilities are provided at Hanko port.
